Get Out and Away the Easy Way

Have you ever thought how nice it would be to hitch up your twenty something foot sailboat, drive south on the interstate, and cruise the Florida Keys for a few weeks? But where will you launch, where will you put the mast up, and where can you leave your car while you sail? The answer is South Dade Marina.

We are located on the north end of the Keys. You can use South Dade Marina as a jumping off point for Key West, Flamingo, or the Dry Tortugas. Homestead, 12 miles to the north, has Publix and Winn-Dixie Super Markets, Wal-Mart, Home Depot, a dive shop, and a bait and tackle store (Jacks). Key Largo, 10 miles to the south has a West Marine and several dive shops.

Bob and Jim Naumann are both trailer sailors. We own a Catalina 22. We know what it takes to set up for a cruise. We have an open area where you can set your mast up. You can leave your boat and trailer here while you go to town for provisions. If we have a vacant dock space, you can leave your boat in the water. See rates.

Before you hitch up call us at 305-247-8730.
